Very pretty porcelain open top antique hat pin holder ~ ID: Hand Painted Nippon ~ Circa 1900s to 1910 ~ White with two bands of vellum and raised gold design ~ one small at the bottom and the second wider band at the top ~ bottom has long scrolled work all around w/ round dots at the bottom ~ wider top has a shield w/ a floral design and a leaf at the back set off in a scroll work frame and raised gold dots at the top ~ top of holder has single, large opening for hat pins (this opening set down from the top of the holder)- Size: 4 3/4" tall x 1 5/8" across the top
- Bottom: 2 7/8" diameter
- Large single opening: 1" diameter
- bottom band: 1/2" wide and top band 1" wide
- Blue bottom mark: Hand Painted Nippon
- Condition: very good to excellent ~ no chips or cracks ~ some wear to vellum from age
