Our vintage French regency nautilus shell design bonnet label reads "Fait a La Main Cabaret du Chapeau Enrg.Creations Therese Fournier" ~ hat made of golden tan leghorn straw ~ decorated with chocolate colored velvet flowers ~ circa 1811 to 1825 ~ extended brim in a jockey cap style ~ nautilus shell design at the back of the hat ~ nice pleat effect on the right side of the brim ~ flowers are bunched at both sides of the bonnet and run up and over ~ silk lined next to the straw and grogram ribbon at the edge inside the hat- 21 1/2" circumference
- 8" from front to back
- 13 1/2" from side to side
- condition is very good ~ wearable ~ one tiny hole in silk ~ one spot inside on right where wire is coming through ~ some minor stains to the ribbon inside and one or two very tiny scattered about on the outside of the straw
