Rolled gold plating became standard here in the United States by 1848, giving rise to a big jewelry making industry ~ engraved gold shield shape set with a tube shaped piece of coral and two dangles of small coral beads ~ The ear wires are attached to the back with a hidden loop for locking them in place- 1 1/2" long x 5/8" wide
- Very good condition. The ear wires are wavy but original ~ a good jewelry artist can straighten them out
