Through the first half of the 1940s Tilt hats were still in style ~ This style hat was first introduced in the late 1930s ~ They are also called *Toy hats* & *Doll Hats* ~ Vintage 1940s black velvet hat with the crown circled in bright raspberry ostrich feathers ~ wide grosgrain ribbon at the back to help keep the hat in place over your page boy hair style ~ black grosgrain ribbon under the feathers ~ hat appears to be home made- size: 2.5" wide brim at the front tapering to 1.5" at the back
- ribbon at the back: 1 3/8" wide
- condition: very good ~ one feather at side looks to be broke off as white show thru ~ this can be repaired and does not detract form the hat
